turkeysoupMy favorite part of Christmas time is making my homemade turkey soup, a brilliant way to keep the holidays rolling around in your mouth. There is nothing more distressing to me to see people throw away a perfectly good carcass that can go to good use. Now I've heard from many individuals in the past that they simply do not know the first thing about making a homemade soup, nothing could be simpler and more delicious. It is perfect for those cold winter nights when there are only two things that can warm your soul. I'm sure you can figure out the second thing.

A Western/Asian/Italian fusion mmmmmm good. The combination of flavours that lay siege on your taste buds will leave you squirming with pleasure.

Perfect for a cold winter night with a glass of Pinot Grigio to accompany you. The spice of the chili peppers and sweetness of the honey will leave you confused and excited, and of course the zest of the Dijon. I know that this recipe may not be technically a stir fry but it has a great ring to it, doesn't it.

Who doesn't like breaded chicken smothered in a delicious tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheese? If there is someone out there that doesn't then I don't want to meet them. This dish is wonderful for winter and fall dinner parties, it never fails to satisfy even the biggest eaters. I found that a semi -sweet Rose wine compliment the meal fabulously.

Another family favourite that I have been enjoying since childhood, this recipe was passed from my grandmother, to my mother, and now to me. The translation may be quite off, so for all the German folk out there I apologize. This dish is great for the fall and winter seasons and goes great with a glass of Cab. I hope you enjoy capers as much as I do.  Sit down and enjoy some Meatballs with your favourite guy. I know I will.

Let's face it; we love to stuff hot things into our mouths and these spicy stuffed mushrooms are pretty good too. Whether it is at a classy barbeque or just a righteous dinner party with loved ones, these mushrooms will water your eyes and send your taste buds to heaven and back. But I must warn you, they are not for the faint of heart. Get ready to curl your toes.

This dish is perfect for the fall or spring seasons. The mix of the rice with peppers and the accompaniment of the chicken works compliments well with a light white wine, I prefer a Pinot Grigio myself but I will leave that very important detail to you.

It is so basic to create and so fulfilling, you will wish to make it a part of your weekly routine as it was in my home growing up.
