The second film in my musical mayhem month is "Repo! The Genetic Opera," a slightly obscure musical that does have a cult following, not unlike the Rocky Horror fans out there. Perhaps not as legendary, but I hope that one day it does.

Musicals, musicals, musicals! The perfect way to cure the winter blues. I have decided that my next few articles will be my selection of fav musicals all the way from "My Fair Lady" to "Chicago." So when it's cold and dreary out and you can't decide on an uplifting movie for a Sunday afternoon, check out what I suggest and see if it's on Netflix.

I was captivated throughout this film that shows a young woman's escape from a cult commune and brings her instead into a paranoid mindset that her estranged sister and husband are unable to deal with. I enjoyed the movie so much that I did not even crave a cigarette.

Have you ever been walking down the street and seen a family with 5-6 kids and say to yourself "Holy shit that's a lot of kids"? Imagine 533 kids. Now when I say that the lead character, fathered 533 children I do not mean all children running around like monsters throughout the film.

This is not a typical rom com nor is it a drama, it is simply a story of life and love and how they come together at the most inconvenient times. I have been so used to films that show the happily ever after ending and sometimes I believe that to be true. .

Who says that you need special effects, explosions, color, or dialogue to make a truly amazing piece of art? Michel Hazanavicius said that you do not. Granted the story is not an original idea but Hazanavicius was able to tell it in such a way that it kept us wanting more.
